After many years of training dogs as an amateur, Mike got his start as a professional dog trainer by working with two of the best Brittany pros in the country — Ben Lorenson and Tom Tracy. Eventually branching out on his own, Mike remains good friends with both Ben and Tom. He trains Brittanys as well as other pointing dogs, and also breeds, raises and trains English setters and pointers. Training season in Maine begins May 1st and runs through till November 1st. Please enquire about winter training in southern Virginia.

FIELD TRIAL TRAINING:
Mike has been successful in the start and development of
several Brittany and GSP field trial winners and champions for
his clients. He has also competed and won with his own dogs in
walking and horseback trials. Mike has judged many field trial
stakes as well as the prestigious Amateur Woodcock
Championship in 2003 and 2004. For information about field trial
